So, Sara has been telling me that I should start my own blog, telling about my various baking creations. I finally caved and created this one...
I've always been the 'baker' of the family. I've never been one to cook, but baking has always been good for me. I've been the one who makes everyone's birthday cakes for years, I'm not sure how I ended up being that person, but I don't mind. Anyways, sometime last year, my manager at work asked me if I'd be interested in working in the bakery at work. Of course I took the job. After working there for a few days, I realized how much I enjoyed it. I started buying materials for cake decorating, reading books, buying books, etc. Now, I can never give a birthday cake that isn't special in SOME way. I'm going to start using this blog to show all of my various baking creations, starting by going back to ones I've done before.
Enjoy!

Tessa,
I think you are doing a wonderful job. You have made so many beautiful cakes, keep up the good work. I found a great recipe for a tasty and easy frosting, great on cupcakes, stands up tall and pretty, piped on with a large star tip.All it is, is a regular size container of cool whip, and then a reg. size jar of marshmallow cream whipped together. I put mine in a pastry bag, with a large star tip, and its so easy to work with. Wal Mart has a nice set of bags, and tips specifically for cupcakes for $7.00, it also has a tube to fill cupcakes.
My the way, this is your mom's friend, Jane,I found your blog on Facebook, and I love seeing the things you've made. Your mom is so proud of you.
