Mom's Cupcakes

So, I decided that I wanted to make my mother some cupcakes for her birthday. She really likes coconut, so I decided to use that as the focal point of the cupcakes. I also decided to do both regular sized cupcakes and mini cupcakes:

 

These cupcakes were yellow cupcakes with vanilla frosting, topped with a bit of coconut and Almond Joy pieces on top. Then... I ran out of icing. So, these came into being:

As you can see, the bigger one has a tint of white in it from the other ones.  =) My mom liked them.
